In 1946, C.R. "Ross" Hamilton founded Hamilton Electric Works, Inc. in Austin, TX. The initial emphasis was on rebuilding batteries, however through listening to our customers' needs, we expanded our skill set to include electric motor sales and repair.
Our shop has seen Austin grow over the years and is proud to still be family owned and operated by two of Ross' sons, Gary and Dale Hamilton.

With over 75 years of serving the Austin area, Hamilton Electric Works, Inc. is the leader and most trusted resource for electric motor, pump, and control sales and repair in central Texas.
We stock a wide variety of motors, pumps, and motor controls, in addition to a vast supply of electric motor accessories including capacitors, pulleys and sheaves, blower wheels, blades, and belts.

Hamilton Electric Works, Inc. has a highly-knowledgeable sales team and a fleet of skilled technicians. Many of our sales and service team have been with us for over 20 years - some over 30 years!
Their experience helps us to provide the old fashioned customer service with modern solutions our customers have come to expect.
Our original building was on Red River however we have been here at 3800 Airport Blvd. since 1972.
